Lacy got home from Hedo on Sunday. They left Wednesday for Splash Atlanta. She was exhausted. Dan had sat Hedo out, so he was ready to make up for it.

Did Splash Atlanta really rebrand to Eroticon?
Yes. New hotel. More of a convention feel, closer to Naughty in New Orleans than a regular hotel takeover. They do not own it. They are an affiliate. When people book through Swinger Society, a little of that covers the cost of showing up with staff. They believe in how Splash runs things, which is why it can sound like their party. It is not. A lovely couple runs it, and Dan and Lacy look up to them.
Atlanta sits in the middle of their friend group, so they roll heavy. They only bring the merch trailer to this one, not Fort Lauderdale or Houston. Downtown valet for the truck would have been $150 a day. It was storming. They unloaded at a loading dock, parked off-site, and Ubered back. From the hallway it looked flawless. Inside, you could tell Splash was figuring out a first-time downtown property three or four times larger than last year.
Wednesday they could not put any lifestyle stuff out until the last vanilla guest checked out Thursday. Hotels still do not want the association. Lacy wishes that was not true. Diana came in to work merch. Dinner across the street. Stacy and Sean had one of those upstairs-downstairs rooms on the indoor pool. The smoke alarm started chirping around 11. Someone was at the door in five minutes.
Why was the indoor pool so hard to stay in?
The atrium is the reason they moved. Glass roof, greenery, rooms looking over the water, plenty of space to lounge. Lacy said it was one of the best pool setups they have seen. Then the heat. The retractable roof was stuck. Greenhouse. Unless you were in the water, she found the air too thick to breathe. Dan thought it was hot and humid, not miserable. Some people never went in.
Thursday they still ran pool games because it is a convention now and there were prizes to give away. Normally Thursday is just arrival. Dan hosted. Lacy bounced. That night they had an early dinner with the Wifey team and Serenity Cox in a vanilla restaurant, then red fetish in a ballroom that was beautiful and a little too big. Packed rooms carry the energy. Big elegant rooms leak it. Dan DJed the EDM room that nobody could find until Lacy walked people over for twenty minutes.
They played later at Stacy and Sean’s. That was Thursday. Friday, the two weeks of travel finally hit Lacy. She bounced between the pool, the room, merch so Diana could take a break, and Daphne and Mike. Dan stayed in the atrium and MCed. Rock and Ronnie threw the collected bathing suits into the deep end. The prizes were real: cruises, Naughty in New Orleans, Splash certificates. They cut the music at 4 on purpose so people can eat and get ready.
Friday they hosted a meet and greet in that same hard-to-find EDM room. Fifty to a hundred people showed, including first-timers. Then blue night. Cocktail or rave wear, both show up, and it does not matter. They made it to Stacy and Sean’s for shots before the party, the in-between they usually miss when they are hosting. Later they asked an attendant if they could push beds together in another playroom. He stood in the hall pointing people toward the Swing Nation wedding orgy. It was after midnight. Buffy and Dwayne were getting married in the morning.
What was the unicorn flash mob?
Saturday at 10am they stood up with Buffy and Dwayne in Stacy and Sean’s room. Third swinger wedding they have been to. This is a community, not a pile of strangers. Then Wifey sponsored the pool. Dan ran the games with their team in them. Treasure-hunt coins all weekend, then keys, then a box with real trips in it.
Saturday night Bob from Naughty in New Orleans had a joke ready. He told Splash there would be unicorns. Splash is couples-only, and they mean it. He showed up with a pile of inflatable unicorn suits. They hid in a storage ballroom, ran the dance floor, jumped on stage with Sophie, then hit the EDM room. You can film it because nobody’s face is out. That is the kind of bit that travels.
Dan closed the EDM room. Packed at 2am. They did not play after that. Everything lifestyle has to be down before noon Sunday. They loaded the trailer hungover and drove home.
They are not at Splash Fort Lauderdale next weekend. Family was the week that worked. We would love to have you there anyway. If you are going to a hotel takeover and you have never packed the way Dan packs, he treats ED meds as the insurance policy in his pocket. Performance anxiety in a playroom is different than home. That is why they talk about Shameless Care like a prep item, not a pitch.
